About HUE

Ascent Information Technology Ltd was founded in 1994 and now trades as HUE.

HUE products are designed to provide colourful, creative and affordable technology for teaching and learning.

The HUE HD camera was launched in 2010 and has been very popular with schools worldwide as an economic and portable visualizer and document camera.

Responding to demand from teachers, the new HUE HD Pro was launched at BETT UK 2015 and TECEA Texas 2015 to incorporate the most requested features: a heavier base and full A4 (8.27″ x 11.7″) image capture with a wide angle lens. It also comes bundled with user friendly software to give easy access to all of the camera’s functions, including recording sound and video, editing images, automated image capture and Skype™.

In April 2014, HUE acquired iCreate to Educate, a company specializing in developing educational software solutions for K12 classrooms founded by Melissa Pickering. iCreate to Educate developed both SAM Animation, a stop motion animation software package for the desktop, and myCreate, an iOS app for creating stop motion movies.

Now branded as HUE Animation, SAM Animation has become a global brand with over 100,000 software licences having been distributed throughout the world.

HUE Animation Studio is a complete stop motion animation kit which includes the HUE HD camera, a single license for HUE Animation and the HUE Book of Animation (formerly the Klutz Book of Animation).
