We’re here to help over the holiday period

As many people will be receiving HUE Animation Studio and other HUE products as gifts this year, we’re posting a short update today to make sure that everyone knows that our customer support department will be responding to emails throughout the holiday period.

If you have any problem setting up your HUE product at Christmas, or simply want to know how to use one of its features, please send us a message. We’ll do our best to help within 24 hours – and often much more quickly than that.

We understand that it’s disappointing when you are trying to get something working during the holidays – especially when small children are eager to get started – so we have a few tips for ensuring that we can help without any delays when you contact our team.

  • Many problems are already covered in our FAQs and Tutorials, so using the search box on the FAQs page may be the fastest way to get help.
  • If there’s a problem with the camera itself and you think a return might be required, it would help to include your original order details. If you don’t know them because it was a gift, let us know any details you have.
  • If your problem relates to activation, please include your activation details in the message so that we can check for any problems.
  • If you don’t remember your activation details just add as much information as you can, such as alternate email addresses you might have used.
  • If there’s an error message, please copy down the exact wording of the message if possible so we can find the problem quickly.
  • As we have several different cameras and software products, mentioning which you have will make it much easier to solve the problem.
  • We’ll never ask you to share your HUE online account password or payment information.

In the meantime, if you haven’t yet purchased and are struggling to find a copy of HUE Animation Studio in your region, or want more information about delivery times, please send us a message and we’ll do our best to help.

Last but not least, the HUE blog team will be back in January with more regular updates. We look forward to seeing what the future brings.

    Looking for HUE Code. It is not listed on any of these areas:
    box that everything comes in
    cd sleeve
    nothing on the CD it’s self
    no extra slips of paper in the box
    not on the back of the book

    any other suggestions

    Cannot register and activate software for animation studio because it says promo code is invalid (the Hue code on book). What do we do?

    how do I download the program (app) since I don’t own a cd rom for my Mac? I don’t know where to find it? We bought the Animation Studio but can’t use the cd.

    I’m on a mac running yosemite 10.10.5
    I can’t get the camera to work. My built in camera shows up in the software, but not the Animation camera.
    Can you guide me through this please.

        I am having the same problem. The camera works in photobooth, but not in the hue software. I can only get the computer’s built in camera to work.

          Thank you for your comment, Tip Walker. It’s a good sign that it’s working in Photo Booth and what’s most likely is that an application is putting the camera ‘in use’ so the HUE software can’t connect to it. USB cameras can only be used in one application at a time. Please try Quitting all open applications other than the Finder – including browsers and messengers – then reopening the HUE software on its own. If that helps, you may be able to find which application was blocking the camera originally so that you can change its settings and avoid the problem recurring in future.

          If this doesn’t help, please send us a message and let us know your full version of OS X and the software you’re using (e.g. HUE Animation, HUE Intuition) so we can assist further.

    Really interested in your new webcam Hue HD Pro, I would like to test one in my classes. I’m an English teacher.. Would it be possible to have a blue one for free, please? Most of my colleagues don’t know about the existence of this great tool made by your company and I would like to introduce your product in my school(we are about one hundred teachers). I hope that you will answer in a positive way to my request.

      Thank you for your comment. If you need the camera in NYC we’d recommend purchasing through Amazon; their fastest delivery methods are still promising delivery on Christmas Eve at this time. HUE Animation Studio has sold out in some locations but Amazon should still have stock through the holiday period.
